Tour Details

Day 1,Hanoi Arrival

In the morning, you’ll receive cordial welcome upon arrival at Noi Bai airport at and transfer to hotel for check-in and tour briefing. In the afternoon, we take a half day tour visiting the mystical Lake of Restored Sword and the Old Quarter of 36 guild streets from a rickshaw ride. The Old Quarter is a series of 36 ancient streets where peddlers still trade the way they have done for centuries. The rickshaw tour ends up at Ma May Old House, an example of dwellings in the 19 century. Overnight at hotel. NOTE: Room will be at your disposal from 14:00; earlier check-in is subject to surcharge. Itinerary can be changed variable up to arrival flight.

Day 2,Hanoi City Tour (B)

After breakfast at hotel, we will pay a visit to the memorial complex to Ho Chi Minh to know his amazing life. Continue to the Single Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature to gain understanding of the two driving forces in Vietnam culture. Afternoon we visit the Museum of Ethnology which exhibits a large collection of artifacts about the cultures of the 54 ethnic groups in the country. Later we enjoy a performance of the famed traditional art form created by village farmers around the Red River Delta region. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3,Hanoi – Ha Long (B/L/D)

This morning we journey east to Ha Long Bay, Vietnam's greatest natural wonder. Board a beautiful traditional wooden junk and spend a full day and night cruising the bay's 3000 magnificent limestone islets. In the evening when the boat is anchored in the middle of the stunning lagoon, we enjoy a wonderful seafood meal and later there is opportunity for an evening swim from the side of the boat. Stay overnight aboard. NOTE: Hanoi to Ha Long Bay = approximately 160 km for 4 hours of driving

Day 4,Ha Long – Hanoi – Da Nang – Hoi an (B/L)

Wake up to fresh coffee and take a small boat to a nearby sandy beach for relaxing & swimming & sightseeing. For a great photo opportunity it is well worth walking up to the hill top pagoda which overlooks the entire bay. Afterwards we return for a wholesome breakfast before cruising back to the shore. En route the junk weaves through strange-shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to mystical dragons! Disembark at 11:00 AM and transfer to Hanoi International Airport for a flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed and transferred along the coast to reach Hoi an Ancient Town. Check-in and overnight at hotel.

Day 5,Day 5: Hoi an (B)

Today, after breakfast, you explore this charming and wonderfully preserved merchant port town. Hoi an still retains Chinese, Japanese, and European influences from its flourishing old days. You have a chance to walk narrow colorful lanes, admire historic architectures, and hunt for the unexpectedly good bargains of silk wares. On foot we explore Hoi An town, visiting the Japanese covered Bridge, a Sino-Vietnamese merchant house, Chinese Assembly Halls, and Hoi An museum. We also enjoy a leisurely walk along the bank of the lively Thu Bon River, once a prosperous a prosperous and famous trading port. Rest of day will be free on your own to relax. Overnight in Hoi an.

Day 6,Day 6: Hoi an – Da Nang – Hue (B/L)

This morning you depart Hoi An and travel southwards to Hue. En route, rewinding at the scenic Lang Co Beach and Ocean Clouds Pass. After lunch at local restaurant, you cruise along the serene Perfume River to Thien Mu, the best known pagoda in Middle Vietnam. Next, you’ll tour the ruins of the former royal residence, the Forbidden City, which is now a World Heritage. You also pay a visit to a beautiful garden house once belonging to the royalty and enjoy the feeling of being lifted up by fresh air and flower odors. Overnight in Hue NOTE: Option royal dinner is available upon request.

Day 7,Hue – Saigon (B)

In the morning, you visit the impressive tomb of former Emperor Tu Duc, villages crafting conical hats and incense, and Dong Ba Market. In the afternoon, you transfer to airport for a short flight to Saigon, the most bustle and hustle city of Vietnam. Welcome at the airport then transfer to hotel for checking-in. Relax for the rest of day. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 8,Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels – City Tour (B/L)

After breakfast at hotel, we travel to Cu Chi to explore the legendary network of underground combat tunnels where our guide will explain how the Vietcong survived and fought during the Vietnam War. Known as the "Iron Triangle" during the war of the 60's, the story of Cu Chi is one of struggle, determination against all odds, and eventual victory. Now the tunnels are a major site of interest for tourists and historians, and those interested in Vietnam's military history. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, we’ll see the famous sights in the very center, taking in the Reunification Palace, the War Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Colonial Post Office, the Opera House, the City Hall, Ben Thanh Market, etc. End up touring enjoy the famed Highland coffee of Vietnam and watching the city in rush hour. Overnight in Saigon

Day 9,Day 9: Saigon – Mekong Delta – Saigon (B/L)

We leave the hustle and bustle of Saigon behind and journey to Mekong Delta, a world that lives and works on the waters. Arriving in My Tho, a prosperous town just 80 km from Saigon, we take a boat to an insular village to visit family workshops producing handicrafts and candy from coconut. Tasting seasonal tropical fruits in an exuberant orchard, we ride a horse cart to a typical Delta house and enjoy folk music by amateurs. Proceed by local sampan through the small canals and side arms of the river to further experience river life. For lunch we’ll sample regional specialties such as Elephant Ear Fish, Rice Ball, etc. Transfer back to Saigon for the night.

Day 10,Saigon – Departure (B)

After breakfast, you have some time to relax until we’ll be picked up and transferred to the airport for the departure flight.
