Tour Details

Day 1,Hanoi Arrival

In the morning, you’ll receive cordial welcome upon arrival at Noi Bai airport at and transfer to hotel for check-in and tour briefing. In the afternoon, we take a half day tour visiting the mystical Lake of Restored Sword and the Old Quarter of 36 guild streets from a rickshaw ride. The Old Quarter is a series of 36 ancient streets where peddlers still trade the way they have done for centuries. The rickshaw tour ends up at Ma May Old House, an example of dwellings in the 19 century. Overnight at hotel. NOTE: Room will be at your disposal from 14:00; earlier check-in is subject to surcharge. Itinerary can be changed variable up to arrival flight.

Day 2,Hanoi City Tour (B)

After breakfast at hotel, we will pay a visit to the memorial complex to Ho Chi Minh to know his amazing life. Continue to the Single Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature to gain understanding of the two driving forces in Vietnam culture. Afternoon we visit the Museum of Ethnology which exhibits a large collection of artifacts about the cultures of the 54 ethnic groups in the country. Later we enjoy a performance of the famed traditional art form created by village farmers around the Red River Delta region. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3,Hanoi – Ha Long Bay (B/L/D)

This morning we journey east to Ha Long Bay, Vietnam's greatest natural wonder. Board a beautiful traditional wooden junk and spend a full day and night cruising the bay's 3000 magnificent limestone islets. In the evening when the boat is anchored in the middle of the stunning lagoon, we enjoy a wonderful seafood meal and later there is opportunity for an evening swim from the side of the boat. Stay overnight aboard. NOTE: Hanoi to Ha Long Bay = approximately 160 km for 4 hours of driving

Day 4,Ha Long Bay - Hanoi – Train to Lao Cai (B/L)

Wake up to fresh coffee then further cruising and more sightseeing. En route the junk weaves through impressive rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons and even further! Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi for the overnight train to Sapa.

Day 5,Lao Cai - Sapa (B/L)

Early morning arrival at Lao Cai Railway Station, we'll be greeted and transferred 40 km upland to Sapa. Enjoy breakfast then drive downhill to Muong Hoa Valley. Upon arrival, we’ll trek along a meandering path through the villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van of the Black Hmong and Day people. Home visits are included to discover local life. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a village on the trek route then return to town. Take a moderate climb up the Ham Rong Mount for a great view of Vietnam's highest mountain range, Fanxipan, filled with terraced rice paddies and deep valleys. There’s also a chance to enjoy a show by ethnic minority artists. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6,Sapa – Bac Ha Colorful Market - Hanoi (B/L)

Morning transfer from Sapa to Bac Ha passing the beautiful mountainous road. We’ll have ample time to explore the most colorful market in Northwest of Vietnam where you can meet about 10 different ethnic minorities, the place that people attend not only for trading but for rice-wine drinking, social communication, making friends… In the afternoon continue to trek through some Tay villages and rainforest to visit Thai Giang Pho – the village of Flower Hmong people that you met on the market. You will learn about their daily life, say hello to local children and enjoy the nice view along the trail. Transfer to Lao Cai and visit this border city for a while before boarding the night train to Hanoi. NOTE: Bac Ha Market is only available in Sunday morning. Itinerary can be changed into Coc Ly Market (on Tuesday), Can Cau Market (on Saturday) or visiting tribal village in Sapa.

Day 7,Hanoi – Departure (Breakfast)

Upon arrival Hanoi Station around 5:00am, you’ll pickup up and transfer to mini hotel for refreshment and breakfast; then transfer to the airport for a flight departure.
